Sarah and Ibrahim don’t share your typical love story. They met while working in a refugee home for street kids and child slaves. He was extremely shy and wasn’t outward with his feelings for her til shortly before Sarah was to depart. Her feelings were not reciprocated at first however it didn’t take long for Ibrahim’s persistence to pay off. As they married in the first year of meeting. They didn’t have the luxury of the type of weddings often celebrated back home ( home being Cheticamp for Sarah) but they were happy to celebrate their love and and commit that love before God. Sarah told me her photos were very disappointing as the professionals there are limited and just not quite the same. So when we held our Valentine Love Contest over a year and half ago Sarah and Ibrahim were praying to win and re-create their wedding, and they did!
When we put this contest on it was a way of giving back for all the support we have been shown throughout our photography journey. It feels so good to do something like this but when its for two people who are so genuinely deserving its even more rewarding. These two are heading back to Africa in less then three weeks to continue their missionary work. As you will see from their session there is an undeniable pureness to the love they share. Safe travels as you continue on your journey. God Bless !
