Dan and Keri… Where do I even begin? I met Dan about four years ago when my husband told me one of his best friends was going to move to Cape Breton. Well, it actually was supposed to be for the summer, and then he fell in love with our beautiful little island and decided to stay! I am so thankful to have gotten to know Dan as well as I did. We spent our winters snowboarding and adventuring around the island with friends in the summer. I also spent some time trying to hook Dan up with Cape Breton girls every now and then… Clearly I had no idea what I was doing, and Dan was definitely the kind of guy who was not going to settle. Dan knows what he wants and I think if he had to wait another five years before Keri came along, he would probably still be single. Keri is without a doubt one of the sweetest girls I know and is the absolute perfect match for Dan. I know it’s cliche but I really can’t picture Dan spending the rest of his life with anyone besides sweet Keri. I have been to my fair share of weddings over the past four years, and I rarely ever cry but the look on Dan’s face when he watched Keri walk down the isle… He melted my heart. Keri’s beautiful smile on the other hand, geez Louise I could photograph her all day every day!
Oh and can we just talk about their location for one minute? Fernwood Hills has to be one of the prettiest venues I’ve shot at, not only is it freakin majestic looking but the convenience of having everything take place in one spot is even better. Lee Mann, you did a fabulous job prepping this land and turning it into something amazing! I think I may have to do the same thing in Cape Breton some day (except I won’t be driving tractors).
I feel like I have so many good things to say about this day and I just can’t get it all out. So let’s just say this, Keri you are beautiful and I want to photograph your babies someday. You were also the most calm bride I have ever photographed and you and Dan had the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever attended! Dan you are a wise man, and I am so happy Keri was “The One”. Finally, you two need to come to Cape Breton soon!
