As some of you know, babies are not usually my thing. I adore shooting pretty much anything and everything but this is one thing I don’t usually do. I also feel like I can’t compete with how amazing my mother is with children. However, when someone extra special in my life brings someone this cute into the world, how can I resist? Before I moved back east, China was still pregnant and I was so disappointed that I wouldn’t be here when her little bundle of joy was going to be born. Even though we didn’t have a lot of time to work with, I am so happy I was able to capture her unconditional love for her son. I shot China about a year ago by herself, and the photos were absolutely gorgeous. She is such a natural beauty that is so easy to capture, but when she got in front of my camera holding sweet baby Dani something definitely changed. Although she has always been beautiful I look at these photos and can instantly see in her smile how this precious little person has changed her life. It is a different smile, one that only her son can bring to her face. I just think it is so amazing!
