Albert & Annie | Couple Session | By Michelle

I guess you can say this session is soley based on trust.  Albert is my one and only brother in law and was home for summer vacation with his lovely gal Annie.  We chatted about doing a quick lil session for them, but I had other plans.  One that involved hair/makeup and clothing chose my me.  So lets start with makeup Annie agreed to have her makeup done if I could arrange for someone to do it.  Of course my girl Toula is always there for me in a pinch! ( so thank you thank you thank you!!) Annie is not a gal who is a big makeup wearer so I can’t lie she was a little taken back when she first saw herself and I was a bit nervous she was going to hate it all.  Of course I explained that it was probably more then she was used to but for the photos it needed to heavier then she would normally wear.

Next was hair.. of couse I knew I wanted soft flowy curls and again Annie got a lil frightened that she would be curled up like an 80’s perm ( as she had some bad experiences) but I knew my girl Alma would not make her look like a poodle.  She loved her hair instantly and with that started warming up to her makeup. ( big sigh of relief )

Lastly was outfits.  I sent Albert to the mall in search of a baby blue shirt not sure why I wanted this colour but I did and you did a great job finding just what I wanted Al!  So I knew all along Annie needed to be in a soft flowy dress to achieve the dreamy romantic look I was going for.  She informed me that she didn’t like long dresses on her and couldn’t see herself in one.  However she was willing to try on.  So Alma and I both pulled about 20  dresses from our closets.  Ironically enough the one dress I had pictured in my mind was the one she fell in love with.  To say I was over the moon was an understatement.  Annie I know you were unsure on all of my choices but I have to say when I saw the way you looked at yourself and the way Albert looked at you was one of the biggest highs for me.  I had a vision and I am so glad you went along with it!  I couldn’t be happier with how your photos turned out.  This was truly a case of trusting in your photographer!

I should also add this was not an engagement session ( even though I posted it as an engagement session ) This is something any couple madly in love can have done whether your engaged or not!
