My day in the life is really not so interesting but hey, this is the day I chose to document so here it goes. I will start by saying my day normally consists of shooting and editing but since we are starting this 30 day Challenge while on some Christmas down time this is what I have been doing. Having spent the last few days stormed in, I have to say I quite enjoyed it. There is something to be said about just staying in your pjs for the day, drinking coffee, watching movies and not having to a darn thing. I know for many this is not the case needing to be shovelled out to get to work (like my husband) and probably curse the storms we have been getting hit with. I guess for me I secretly love it because it gives me some cozy kind of comfort, maybe even reminds me of being a little girl again.
So with that being said as much as I needed the down time I know I could not stay down for long. I woke today with the need to get the heck out of the house. So I crawled out of bed, after a great nights sleep and even sweeter sleep in and of course started my day the way I do everyday of my life with coffee. I sat at my computer and checked e-mails, listened to the radio and decided I need to do something. I recently bought a new sofa set and have been wrapped up in re-doing everything in my house. Which I have to say has always been my first love, in fact before I became a photographer I think I painted something every couple of months. So since I am in my more quiet months for work I will be putting my focus on my house. I will be sure to take photos and document some of the changes. I love my house but sometimes you just need a change. So I found some yellow paint and on a whim whipped it on an old dresser that is now in my front room. My home has very soft and muted colours and I am ready to spice things up with some colour.
Dresser now complete I scurry into Sydney to see if I can source out some inspiration. Not always much to be found in Sydney (We so need a home sense), however I did score a few finds that you will be sure to see a baby in. Lakyn and I also scored some bargains at Target, they had some awesome five dollar deals on. With our shopping done we then went to visit my father in law Tony who is in the hospital and I must say he’s back to his old self and ready to get the heck home. I am now off to relax for the evening and getting ready to begin another year of shooting.
