Believe it or not, all of these looks were shot in one day and even better this was another one of our mother daughter duo shoots! It’s been a transition trying to figure out how the two of us are going to physically work together but I think we found exactly what we do best together and this is just one example of that.

Emily is one of our high school seniors we’ve been working with this year and we will be capturing her grad year with multiple sessions, these images are just a few of many shots from her winter session with us. Like we’ve explained before these sessions require lots of planning and of course plenty of time. We start out with an initial consultation so we can get a feel for who our seniors are and what they are passionate about. Then we go off of what we learned to conjure up the perfect locations, outfits and sometimes a theme for the shoot. We get to meet up the night before the session to nail down our ideas and piece our outfits together and this is sometimes just as fun as the actual shoot! Everyone feels energized and pumped up for the next day and it really is an awesome experience. Shoot day, we are usually up quite early to start hair and makeup. If you have amazing thick and awesome hair like Emily, usually this can take up to two hours. It’s truly amazing watching these gals go from being so quiet and shy in the morning to rocking the camera by the end of the day. I think we can all agree that Emily brings a fire to the camera with her smouldering blue eyes and curly brown hair. She certainly made our job easy with her natural beauty and easy going personality! Not that our job is ever hard, we think everyone has something different to bring to the table and we truly admire getting to know what those qualities are, and then using them to achieve the best possible images that capture who you are!

We are so thankful for clients who are willing to give us all of their trust when planning these shoots. We couldn’t be more happy with Emily’s first session, and we are even more pumped to capture her in her element this summer with her horses. What could be more magical than a beach sunset, featuring a gorgeous girl with one of the prettiest animals ever! We can’t wait!
