So I don’t normally shoot an Engagement session and a wedding days apart, but we were unable to make it happen till the week they got home for the wedding.  We ventured out without a plan for what we would do.  I have to say this is turning out to be a favourite approach of mine.  We started off in what I thought would be a somewhat sheltered wooded area, nope we near froze our butts off!  Mike who is from BC liked the idea of capturing our coastline.  So off we headed to New Victoria lighthouse.  This is not a place I typically shoot, maybe because its here and at my disposal and I am constantly on the lookout for locations off the beaten path.  I have to say It was quite refreshing to visit in spite of the freezing cold. The shoot gave a totally different vibe this time of year, could be the extreme cold making for some great snuggles and hugs from Brittany and Mike.  Brittany thought it would be cool to go down by the wooden pallets which break the water, It was cool alright when poor Mike was surprised by a sudden gush of water!  However it made for a great shot!  Mike I have to say you were a trooper.  With our fingers near froze off we ended our afternoon with some cheesecake and coffee inside a warm coffee shop ( thanks again for the treat).  I am looking forward to this winter wedding and am praying to the weather gods for a pretty winter snowfall.  I know whatever the day brings we will roll with it and its going to be wonderful!
