Spencer & Bhreagh | An Intimate Back Yard Wedding | By Brittany

Spencer & Bhreagh

Wow. It’s been a crazy two weeks. I forgot what it was like to try and get work done when you have a toddler home with you everyday. Last week our dear Mandy, who takes care of Posey four days of the week, was off on a family vacation in PEI. Pair that with our own weekend getaway and you’ve got a really messy house + a lot of edits piling up. So here comes my week late blog post, I think it was worth the wait though.

Spencer and Bhreagh were married in North East Bay, on Bhreagh’s parents summer home, under a beautiful tree that both her sister AND mother were married under. It was intimate and sweet. They said I do, and held hands under the lush tree, on a beautiful over cast day. They were surrounded by only their family and closest friends in their wedding party. I know this was a hard decision for them to make, to only have family at their ceremony, but I love that they went for it in order to hold the ceremony at this very special venue. I always say weddings are give and take, there are always things you have to compromise in order to get exactly what you want. I think everyone there can agree it was very unique, and what I loved most was due to the smaller amount of people, they were able to greet their guests and share some hugs in a timely manner without having to worry about running away immediately for photos. The sweet pros to having intimate weddings 😉

I’ve known Bhreagh for about seven years now, so this wedding was extra special for me. I remember talking about her future wedding plans before she was even engaged, when we worked together at The HeadShoppe and Vision Salon. We shared all the things we didn’t like about weddings, and all the things she was going to do differently. Well Bhreagh, you certainly held onto your word there. Your day was one of a kind, and the thing that made it most special was the sweet glances you and Spencer shared all day, and the genuine love you have for one another. These two know what it’s like to be apart, since Spencer travels back and fourth for work. I know they’ve endured hard times like any other normal couple, and they’ve experienced a lot of joy in their relationship. I know their love and commitment has always been real, and it was an honour to witness them finally make it official.

An extra sweet shoutout to Bhreagh’s sister Caelin, who worked so hard on making this day what it was. We’ve gotten to know Caelin over the past few years, and I still have no doubts that this girl belongs somewhere in the wedding industry. Bhreagh you are one lucky gal to have a sister who loves and cares for you so deeply. She even quoted on the wedding day “This is what my dreams are made of.” That is EXACTLY how I feel when I shoot weddings every weekend too Caelin. haha
